Sarcoma is an unwelcome guest. A rare cancer of the connective tissues—muscles, bones, nerves, cartilage, blood vessels affecting only about 1% of adult cancer patients.
In 2023, the initial shock came with a whirlwind of appointments, tests, and medical terminology. Deanna learned she has Sclerosing Rhabdomyosarcoma.
The Radiation & chemotherapy have been brutal. But nothing could have prepared her for this.
Tragically, after battling this aggressive form of sarcoma, it has returned for a SECOND time. Deanna is now once again fighting for her life.
Through it all, she has maintained her sense of humor and gorgeous smile. But behind the brave face is fear and doubt.
